5 Ave North/20 Street North closed in Lethbridge for sewer line repairs

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The City of Lethbridge is advising of a road closure on the north side as crews try to repair the sanitary sewer.

It will take place at the intersection of 5th Ave North and 20th Street North.

The city hopes they can finish the repairs by Thursday, July 11th, weather permitting.

“Due to ongoing issues with individual sanitary sewer lines in the area this year, crews will be video scoping these lines along 5 Ave. N. between 16 St. N. to 21 St. N. to identify all potential sewer issues before road improvements are made in the future,” reads a press release from the City of Lethbridge.

The scoping will not force any extra road closures, but if problems are identified, the area may be blocked off temporarily.
