CALGARY, AB – 1,275,465 people made their way to this year’s Calgary Stampede over the last 10 days.

According to official numbers by the group, this was the second-highest attendance in their history behind only the 2012 centennial event. A publication from CBC seven years ago reported that more than 1.4-million went to that festival.

This year’s event was around 4,224 people higher than in 2018.

The five-year average for Stampede attendance is 1,201,238.

“We’d like to thank Calgarians, our neighbours, guests and international visitors from around the world,” reads a press release from the Calgary Stampede.

The festival generated as much as $250-million in total economic benefit to local businesses and the local, provincial, and federal governments.
