18 people arrested in Lethbridge in connection to stolen vehicle & prescription drug trafficking

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge Police Service says they made a significant bust on Tuesday, July 16h.
Members of the Downtown Policing Unit and the Priority Crimes Unit conducted a targeted sweep of the downtown core, resulting in 11 people being arrested who are facing numerous charges and seven others in connection to a stolen Toyota 4-Runner worth $55,000.
Most of the accused are from Lethbridge and include:
- Josee Gennifer Beattie, 25-years-old. Charged with two counts of possessing stolen ID documents and of a stolen cheque
- Travis Kyle Bird, 32-years-old. Charged with mischief and breach of a recognizance
- Vanessa Spearchief, 32-years-old and from Standoff. Charged with theft of a vehicle, flight from police, and dangerous driving
- Calvin Freddy Spearchief, 38-years-old. Charged with breach of a recognizance
- Kendall Nicole Rowe, 24-years-old. Charged with breach of a recognizance
- A 24-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman. Charged with possession of a controlled substance for trafficking and child endangerment. This is in relation to an incident where police saw the pair working in Galt Gardens selling prescription narcotics with their three children, all under the age of four. Child and Family Service apprehended the children. The identifies of the pair will not be released for the safety of the children
- Osagie Omon-Anolu, 33-years-old. Charged with uttering threats
- Trevor Memphis Plaited Hair, 35-years-old. Charged with four counts of sexual assault
- Jeffrey Grant Ketel, 32-years-old. Charged with possession of stolen property under $5,000
- Whitney Rae Eaglechild, 25-years-old. Charged with assault with a weapon
