UPDATE: Man charged following stabbing in Blood Reserve

MOSES LAKE, AB – Blood Tribe Police have provided an update to the following story.

25-year-old Richard Calf Robe has been charged with aggravated assault with a weapon and failing to comply with a probation order as a result of the weekend incident.

Calf Robe, of the Blood Tribe, is scheduled to appear in Lethbridge Provincial Court on Thursday, August 1.

The victim is reportedly in stable condition at a Calgary hospital.

Blood Tribe Police are reporting a stabbing that occurred over the weekend near Cardston.

The incident happened around 8:40 pm on Sunday, July 28th in the Moses Lake community of the Blood Tribe.

According to witnesses, two men got into a fight that ended when one of them reportedly used a knife to stab and slash at the other.

The victim was taken to hospital in Calgary, but his condition is not known at this time.

The two people involved are said to have known each other.
