Two arrests made in Lethbridge after $75K worth of drugs and cash found

LETHBRIDGE, AB – ALERT, the city’s organized crime and gang team, made a significant arrest on Friday, July 26th.

Following a short-term drug trafficking investigation, police executed a search warrant for a vehicle and a home in the Indian Battle Heights neighbourhood.

Some of the items found include 332 grams of methamphetamine, 13 grams of suspected carfentanil, 86 fentanyl pills, 20 grams of cocaine, 802 grams of ketamine, and $5,109 in cash.

As well, a loaded revolver and several stolen items were recovered.

“This seizure illustrates the collaborative effort between policing partners to keep Lethbridge safe and get harmful drugs off the street,” says ALERT Lethbridge Staff Sgt. Leon Borbandy.

47-year-old Eldon Myers and 50-year-old Cheri Komar have been arrested with both facing charges of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, possessing stolen property, possessing the proceeds of crims, possession of break-and-enter tools, and five firearms-related offenses.

Myers was also charged with possessing a firearm while prohibited.
