Lethbridge Police learn identity of man suffering from amnesia

LETHBRIDGE, AB – UPDATE: Just before 2 p.m. Lethbridge Police said the man has been identified and is a local resident. No further information is available. Police thank the public for its assistance.

At approximately 1:23 am on Tuesday, August 6th, police were contacted by staff at Chinook Regional Hospital to identify an unknown man.

He was wearing cycling attire and a blue water bladder backpack.

“He was wet and covered in mud when he arrived and told staff he had walked to the hospital after falling off his bike in the river valley,” reads a press release from Lethbridge Police Service.

According to police, the man appears to be in his 60’s, did not have any ID, and could not remember his name.

The detachment has not received any missing persons reports that match his description at this time.
