Lethbridge Public Library celebrating 100th anniversary this week

LETHBRIDGE, AB – It’s a major milestone for the city’s largest library.

There will be two celebrations, one on Wednesday, August 14th and one on Saturday the 17th.

Wednesday is the official anniversary date for the library and officials will be making “three exciting announcements,” which includes revealing their Writer in Residence, the launch of their letters for a Lethbridge initiative, and an announcement from the City of Lethbridge’s Public Art Committee.

That takes place from 11:00 am until noon at the main downtown branch.

Then on Saturday, it’s the “Big Birthday Bash”.

Both the main branch and The Crossings branch will have BBQ’s, family activities, and a wide array of live performances from local talent.
