Man arrested in Lethbridge after allegedly stealing $250K in vehicle tires and rims

LETHBRIDGE, AB – ALERT Lethbridge has arrested a Calgary man in connection to a long-running series of thefts.

At least eight car dealerships in the province have been targeted.

Patrick Rouillard was arrested on Wednesday, July 31st after a lengthy investigation.

ALERT claims that Rouillard stole more than $250,000 work of vehicle tires and rims from dealerships in Lethbridge, Leduc, Taber, Wetaskwin, and Calgary between March 2016 and October 2018.

“These dealerships incurred significant costs and I’m sure it is a relief to end to this crime spree and have someone held accountable,” says Inspector Sean Boser.

None of the stolen items were recovered as the suspect reportedly sold the items.

Rouillard has been charged with seven counts of break and enter, as well as one count of breaking and entering with intent to commit theft.
