Ottawa invests nearly $8.5-million into projects in Lethbridge, Coaldale, Foremost
LETHBRIDGE, AB – Significant amounts of money from the federal government’s Western Diversification Program will support four projects in Southern Alberta.
The following three grants are from the Business Scale-up and Productivity (BSP) program, which aims to support businesses to be more productive and competitive.
Lethbridge is getting two seven-figure grants, including $1,330,000 to Flexahopper Plastics Ltd. to improve the productivity of rotomolding manufacturing processes with a new Thermal-flex system.
As well, $3,000,000 will go towards Southland Trailer Corp in Lethbridge to scale-up the manufacturing capacity of gravel and highway trailer product lines, while also reducing waste.
