Lethbridge, AB – A former Lethbridge massage therapist has elected trial by judge alone in Court of Queen’s bench in June 2020. 53-year-old Cyprien Mudenge has been charged with one count of sexual assault.

A preliminary inquiry was held in July, and a Pre-Trial Conference will take place Jan. 16, 2020. The trial itself has been scheduled for three days, from June 1-4, 2020.

Lethbridge Police say a 34-year-old woman went to the police station in late November 2018, and reported she was sexually assaulted during a massage. The allegations involved inappropriate touching. It’s not believed at this time that there are any other victims.

Mudenge has since been dismissed from his former employment.
