36-year old man charged in weekend incident is granted bail
LETHBRIDGE, AB – A 36-year-old man charged in connection with two incidents involving a man in a red truck allegedly assaulting two men over the weekend, has been released from custody.
According to Lethbridge Police, around 9:45 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, a 37-year-old man walking in an alley along the 500 blk. of 13 St. N. was hit with a baseball bat twice, after a brief verbal exchange with a man in a red truck. Cash from the victim’s wallet was also taken.
A short time later, around 10 p.m., another man walking in the alley in the 600 blk. of 13 St. N. was pepper sprayed.
Neither the accused nor the victims were known to one another.
