19-year-old man robbed at knifepoint Tuesday morning

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge Police are investigating another robbery – this time along the 100 blk of 13 St. N.

Police say on Tuesday, Sept. 17, just before 7 a.m., a 19-year- old man was sitting behind the Dollarama store, when he was approached by three men who asked for drugs.

One of the men had a machete and demanded cash.

The victim ran from the area and was chased by one of the males for a short distance.

He was ultimately able to escape; however, his bike and his backpack were stolen.

Lethbridge Police later reviewed surveillance videos taken from the area and were able to get several pictures.

The first suspect is described as a Caucasian male in his mid-20s, about 5’0″ with a thing build and blond hair.

The second suspect is described as an Aboriginal male, also in his mid-20s wearing a black hoodie with the hood up, jeans and a black bandana around his neck.

The third suspect is also described as an Aboriginal male in his mid-20s, wearing a dark sweater, dark sweatpants and red shoes.

Earlier Tuesday morning just before 2 a.m., a woman in a wheelchair reported to LPS that she was robbed near Galt Gardens by two other women wearing Halloween masks and dark clothing.
