New program available in Lethbridge to help unemployed Albertans find work
LETHBRIDGE, AB – A new government-funded program for unemployed Albertans is now available in Lethbridge to help residents get work in the growing supply chain industry.
Supply chain essentially revolves around the distribution of various goods and services in the community and beyond, and how that distribution is managed. The industry is said to be one of the fastest growing in all of southern Alberta.
The program comes as a result of a partnership between the Teamworks Career Centre, on behalf of the Alberta Ministry of Labour and with the Canadian Institute of Traffic and Transportation (CITT).
Albertans who are eligible can take part in the 15-week program at no cost. They will be able to maintain employment insurance benefits, if applicable, during training.
