Hurricanes trade Phare to Everett for future draft pick

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes have made a trade.

The team’s acquired a sixth round WHL Bantam Draft pick in 2023 from the Everett Silvertips. In exchange, the Silvertips will receive 2002-born forward Tyson Phare.

The 17-year-old appeared in two regular season games with the ‘Canes this year, going pointless with a minus-1 rating and five penalty minutes.

Phare registered one assist in three pre-season appearances with Lethbridge.

The Hurricanes are back at home Wednesday night (Oct. 2) following a road win on Sunday against the Edmonton Oil Kings. Lethbridge hosts the Saskatoon Blades at the ENMAX Centre. Puck drops at 7 p.m.
