Siblings to play at National Soccer Championships next week

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Two Lethbridge teens are headed to Edmonton next week.

Keira and Lucas McCulloch, ages 14 and 15, are set to compete at the Under-15 Canada Soccer Toyota National Championships from October 9 to 14.

The McCulloch’s mother, Robin said the two started playing through a local Timbits league at the age of four. After playing at the Timbits level, the siblings moved up to the Under-12 LFC teams (Lethbridge Soccer Association) before trying out – and making – the top Under-15 Tier 1 teams in the Calgary Foothills Soccer Club.

Both of their teams (the boys and girls clubs) finished in the top two of the provincials to earn a spot at next week’s nationals.
