City of Lethbridge offering free transit on October 21st election day

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Getting to your polling station for the federal election is no longer an issue.

On Monday, October 21st, which is the general voting day, all city buses will be operating for free.

“Drivers will place a ‘Free Transit on Election Day’ sign over the fare boxes when transit service begins at 5:45 a.m,” reads a press release from the City of Lethbridge.

This will continue for the entire day until the voting period closes.

If you do not want to wait until October 21st or will not be able to vote on that day, there are plenty of opportunities to cast your ballot before then.

LNN detailed earlier this week when you will be able to vote at advanced polls, at Elections Canada offices, and other methods, as well as who is running in each of southern Alberta’s ridings. More information here.
