MEDICINE HAT — Glen Motz is going back to Ottawa.

The Conservative Party candidate is the winner in the Medicine Hat-Cardston-Warner riding.

It will be Motz’s second term as Member of Parliament. He was first elected during a 2016 by-election, where he received nearly 70 per cent of the vote.

Motz spoke with media, noting it was an honour to serve his constituents. However, he was disappointed in the end results. Mots said he will return to Ottawa and continue to build relationships with whomever has ministries that impact his riding and advocate for interests at home.

Motz said he will continue to speak for the issues that impact people locally.

NDP Candidate Elizabeth Thomson is a distant second place.

Liberal Candidate Harris Kirshenbaum was in third place. Andrew Nelson with the People’s Party of Canada held fourth place.

Shannon Hawthorne with the Green Party was fifth and Independent candidate Dave Phillips held the last position.

Motz thanked supporters at his campaign office in Medicine Hat, which can be watched below.
