Hurricanes’ streak snapped in shootout loss to Medicine Hat
LETHBRIDGE, AB – In front of a crowd of over 4,000 people, the Lethbridge Hurricanes were looking to extend their win streak to seven games, but the Medicine Hat Tigers brought the fight on route to a 3-2 shootout victory.
FIRST PERIOD
Medicine Hat got the scoring started early, via a goal from James Hamblin at the 36-second mark. His sixth of the season was assisted by Brett Kemp and Cole Sillinger.
Lethbridge wasn’t going down without a fight in the opening frame however, with a goal from Oliver Okuliar at 15:55 on the power-play. Dylan Cozens and Alex Cotton earned the assists on that one.
