Snowfall warning for Lethbridge area, Cypress Hills

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for parts of southern Alberta.

This includes Lethbridge, Coaldale, Coalhurst, Nobleford, Picture Butte, Milk River, Raymond, Stirling, Warner, Writing-On-Stone Provincial Park, Taber, Vauxhall, the County of Forty Mile, and Cypress County.

For most of these areas, 10-20 cm of snow is in the forecast. For parts along the foothills or near the Cypress Hills, residents can expect up to 25 cm.

Heavy snowfall should end Sunday afternoon.

“Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Take frequent breaks and avoid strain when clearing snow,” reads the weather alert from Environment Canada.
