Lethbridge Police searching for suspect in alleged armed robbery

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Police were called to the Flamingo bar on the 1700 block of 23rd Street North just after midnight on Monday, November 11th.

An unknown man reportedly showed a knife to a staff member and demanded cash. The employee refused.

The suspect allegedly chased the worker around the bar with the knife until he agreed to open the till. An undisclosed amount of money was taken.

The suspect fled on foot. No one was hurt.

Police believe the suspect was an Aboriginal man in his late 20’s to early 30’s, around 5’10” with an average build, blemished or dry skin, and a raspy voice. He was wearing a thick black winter jacket with the hood up, black sunglasses and a black handkerchief with white accents covering his mouth.
