City asks for input on ideas for 5 Ave North & 13 Street improvements

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Following consultations with the public this spring, the City of Lethbridge has come back with some ideas for how to make 5 Ave North and 13 Street better.

They are both considered to be important corridors that connect residential areas in north Lethbridge to the downtown, Chinook Regional Hospital, and Highway 3.

With traffic increasing on both routes, the city is planning for future infrastructure upgrades.

They have launched a survey that takes you through several ideas for how they think the roads could be improved.

“The City wants to understand how you use 5 Avenue N and 13 Street today and also wants you to imagine what it could look like in the future,” reads the consultation page from the City of Lethbridge.

Some of the suggestions include adding cycling lanes, widening roads, improving turning points, and how certain sections should be structured.

You can access the survey online here.
