LETHBRIDGE, AB – Out of 36 Canadian cities analyzed, Lethbridge is the third most affordable to rent.

That is according to the latest National Rent Report from Rentals.ca and Bullpen Research & Consulting.

In October, a typical one-bedroom apartment in the city cost $917 per month, while a two-bedroom listed for $1,014. Neither number changed from the previous report.

For all types of rental properties, the average in Lethbridge was $1,003 and for Alberta, $1,265.

Lethbridge was the least expensive of the seven Albertan communities that were looked at. For a one-bedroom unit, Fort McMurray charged $1,231, Calgary was $1,190 on average, Edmonton was $1,045, Grande Prairie is $1,011, and for Red Deer, they cost $966.

Unsurprisingly, Toronto is the most expensive place in the country to rent with an average of $2,320 for one-bedroom and $2,930 for two-bedrooms.
