CALGARY — The Canadian Hemp Trade Alliance (CHTA) will be holding its annual conference later this month in Calgary.

The meeting of the growing industry will focus on sharing ideas and information.

Sessions will include speakers from Health Canada and experts in food, feed and fibre.

A panel of international experts is to provide a global outlook and there will be a breakout session on hemp production, with speakers sharing licensing, agronomy, and marketing tips.

The CHTA was established in 2003 and is a national organization that promotes Canadian hemp products globally. It helps coordinate research and spreads information while promoting the use of nutritional and industrial hemp.

The alliance is made up of hemp farmers, processors, manufacturers, researchers, entrepreneurs and marketers.
