Hurricanes dominate Swift Current 6-2

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes are in Swift Current Wednesday to take on the Broncos.

First Period:

#18 Ethan Regnier with Swift Current wins the first faceoff against Lethbridge’s #24 Dylan Cozens.

Just 43 seconds into the game, Cozens scored the game’s first goal with assists from #4 Danila Palivko and #2 Calen Addison.

According to the Lethbridge Hurricanes, this marked Addison’s 150th career assist.

At the end of the first period, Lethbridge is up 1-0.

Second Period:

Dylan Cozens wins the first faceoff of the second period, beating Regnier.

2:02 into the second period, #28 Alex Cotton scored for the Hurricanes. #18 Zack Stringer and #27 Logan Barlage assisted.

As 3:29, Balarge hit the net with assists from #11 Dino Kambeitz and Stringer.

Regnier retaliated at 4:32, putting the Broncos on the scoreboard.

Lethbridge’s #19 Noah Boyko scored at 5:43 with assists from #29 Koletrane Wilson and Kambeitz.

A five-minute penalty was issued to Swift Current’s #29 Matthew Benson at 6:40 for major interference.

Boyko received a two-minute penalty for there being too many men at 9:06.

The second period ended with Lethbridge being up 4-1.

Third Period:

1:01 in, #16 D-Jay Jerome scored for Lethbridge with an assist from #8 Oliver Okuliar.

#25 Trevor Thurston hit the net for the Hurricanes at 8:28. #18 Zack Stringer made the assist.

With only 12 seconds remaining in the game, #23 Aiden Bulych scored for the Broncos with an assist from #25 Jaxan Kaluski.

The game ends with the Hurricanes victorious 6-2.
