RCMP ask for information related to fatal Nobleford house fire

Nobleford – RCMP and the Coaldale Fire Department are investigating a fatal residential fire in Nobleford.

Around 10:20 on Saturday (Nov 23) morning, a passer-by noticed smoke coming from a house on Milnes Street in Nobleford and called the fire department. The Nobleford Fire Department responded with assistance from the Barons Fire Department.

It was determined a 27-year old Nobleford man perished inside the house. There were no other occupants in the house at the time.

The Coaldale/Picture Butte RCMP are investigating, and Lethbridge Corridor Victim Services were made available to assist the family of the deceased, as they were at the scene.

The fire was extinguished with damages primarily to the back or south portion of the home. An adjacent home also sustained some heat damage. Fire crews will remain on scene as a precaution.

The Calgary Medical Examiners Office will determine the cause of death, while the Coaldale Fire Department is assisting to determine the cause of the fire
