LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Government of Alberta is showing its support for veterans in the city.

Lethbridge-East MLA Nathan Neudorf was on hand Friday for a cheque presentation to the Lethbridge United Services Institute (LUSI).

“This monument will be a fitting tribute to recognize the service, sacrifice and commitment of those who have and continue to serve in the military from Lethbridge and southern Alberta,” reads a social media post from Neudorf.

The money was given to President Glenn Miller and Daniel Gosselin with LUSI for the Legacy of Alberta bronze monument.

It will be placed at Exhibition Park and will be a tribute to veterans while recognizing the significant and historic part Lethbridge has played in training Canadian troops.
