Suspect wanted in Pincher Creek armed robbery

PINCHER CREEK, AB – Pincher Creek RCMP are asking for your help in finding a man suspected in a robbery at knifepoint.

RCMP were called to the Great Canadian Liquor Store on 838 Main Street at 6:00 pm on Monday, December 9th.

A lone man reportedly entered the store and went directly to several cases of vodka that were on display and picked two of them up.

“A store clerk approached the male and asked if he could help him when the male pulled a large knife from his sweater pocket and motioned at the clerk,” reads a media release from Pincher Creek RCMP.

The clerk was not injured.

The suspect then allegedly exited the store with two cases of vodka and walked south on St. John Avenue.

“It is believed he then entered a car that was waiting and drove away.”

The man was seen on video surveillance footage wearing a black hoodie with “CARHARTT” written on the left sleeve, a black toque, and blue jeans. According to RCMP, he appears to be darker-skinned and possibly in his 20’s.
