RAYMOND, AB – The best collegiate soccer players in the province will meet in Raymond next fall.

The Alberta Colleges’ Athletic Conference (ACAC) announced at their annual meeting on Tuesday that the games will be held at Raymond’s Comet Stadium from October 29th to November 1st, 2020.

This will be the first time that Lethbridge College has hosted the ACAC soccer championships.

“We appreciate the faith that the ACAC continues to put in the Kodiaks to be able to host excellent ACAC championship events,” says Todd Caughlin, Manager of Kodiaks Athletics. “Our experience in hosting championship tournaments, combined with what is sure to be a unique experience in the very supportive community of Raymond, will make this a championship to remember.”

The men’s Kodiaks soccer team earned its first ACAC championships earlier this fall and made the playoffs for the third year in a row.

The women’s team won the ACAC south division this season for the first time since 1994 and earned back-to-back conference bronze medals.

First, however, Lethbridge College is hosting the ACAC men’s volleyball championships at the Val Matteotti Gym on February 27-29, 2020.
