Dec 16, 2019 | 3:19 PM

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Crews with the City of Lethbridge will start work on a sanitary sewer line replacement on Tuesday, December 17th.

Beginning at 9:00 am, the 1700 block of 9th Ave South will be closed.

This impacts the northwestern section of Chinook Reginal Hospital.

Access to the hospital parkade and some on-street parking will be available, but through traffic will not be permitted.

The road closure impacts a Lethbridge Transit route, so the city asks that you check https://myride.lethbridge.ca for possible stop closures and/or scheduling adjustments.

Drivers are asked to move through the area with caution and to follow the posted detours.

It is expected that the project will be completed by the end of the day on Thursday, December 19th.

Note: This story originally said the sewer line replacement would be finished on Thursday, December 18th as the city’s press release stated. The City of Lethbridge has corrected that to say Thursday, December 19th.
