Dec 17, 2019 | 2:10 PM

FOX CREEK, AB – An arrest warrant has been issued for the man charged after an alleged abduction of three children in Fox Creek.

D’artangan Dirk Pool, 23, of Lethbridge, did not show up, nor did a lawyer appear on his behalf during a scheduled appearance Monday in Grande Prairie Court of Queen’s Bench.

His lawyer had already applied to be removed as counsel of record, a request that was granted.

Pool and Charmaine Annette Darnel, 42, of Whitecourt, were charged after three children who were three, four, and nine months were taken from a home in Fox Creek, Alta., about 260 kilometers northwest of Edmonton, at approximately 1:30 am on June 1st.

An amber alert was issued later that morning, and two hours later, the children and their mother were found in a vehicle near Sylvan Lake.

The children were not hurt

Pool is facing three counts of abduction of a person under 14, assault, uttering threats, and forcible confinement.

Darnel has already pleaded guilty to four charges and is due back in Fox Creek court December 23.
