Dec 19, 2019 | 3:19 PM

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Another drug house has been shut down in Lethbridge, according to police and the Safer Communities and Neighborhoods unit of the Alberta Sheriffs.

The court order became effective at noon Thursday, Dec. 19, giving them the authority to close the house at 136 15 Street N. The home has been boarded up, the locks were changed, and a fence erected around the property.

The closure period is effective until February 27, 2020, while the property will be monitored until Dec. 10, 2020. SCAN began investigating the property last may after complaints from neighbours. Drug activity was confirmed on the property, along with a high volume of people coming and going.

Back in September, Lethbridge Police executed a search warrant on the property and found a variety of drugs including cocaine, methamphetamine, and magic mushrooms, along with four imitation guns, brass knuckles and bear spray. Charges were laid against three people.
