GRANUM, AB – Effective immediately, Alberta Health Services (AHS) is lifting the boil water advisory in the Town of Granum, after confirming that satisfactory water quality has been restored.
The advisory was issued on New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31) after a watermain break and has been in effect for three days. The break was quickly repaired, however everyone was asked to run their water for 15 minutes and to repeatedly flush toilets to get rid of murky water.
All residents and businesses can now return to normal water consumption; boiling water is no longer required.
