Jan 10, 2020 | 5:30 AM

LETHBRIDGE, AB – If you have any old electronics laying around the house or your office, you can drop them off at a few locations around Lethbridge to be recycled for free.

“Ecycle Drive diverts tens of thousands of pounds of e-waste from local landfills; keeping our environment a little cleaner and saving you from paying dumping fees,” reads the Ecycle Website.

“It is [a] win-win for you and the environment.”

Taking place from Friday, January 10th to Sunday, January 12th, there will be three donations bins set up, including at the Save-On-Foods on Highlands Blvd West, the Save-On-Foods by Centre Village Mall on 2nd Ave North, and Visions Electronics off of Mayor Magrath Drive South.

If you cannot make it out or if your items are too large, you can call 403-329-5636 to schedule a pickup. The fees for pickup start at $19.99.

Some of the items that will be accepted include Christmas and ornamental light sets without bulbs, TVs, stereos, routers, electrical wires and detached cords, game systems, cameras, printers, cell phones, microwaves, monitors, computers, parts, and accessories.

Things like single-use batteries and non-electronic items such as appliances, light fixtures, air conditioners, and irons will not be accepted.
