LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Pronghorns women’s hockey team has announced the signing of Abby and Alli Soyko as they build towards the 2020-2021 season.

The twins currently play for the Northern Alberta Extreme (NAX) of the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL).

Both Prince Albert, Saskatchewan siblings are in their first year with the club, following time with the Prince Albert Northern Bears in the Saskatchewan Female Midget AAA league (SFMAAAHL).

This season with NAX, Abby Soyko has seven goals and seven assists across 15 games. During her time in the SFMAAAHL, she was named a league all-star three times and was the Northern Bears’ leading scorer twice and served as team captain last season.

She also represented Team Saskatchewan at the 2019 Canada Winter Games in Red Deer, recording a goal during the tournament, in which Saskatchewan finished in sixth place.

Alli, a left winger like her sister, has scored three goals and dished out five assists so far this season in 14 games. Over the past four seasons with the Northern Bears, she’s played in 109 games, registering 13 goals and 30 assists. Alli was named the Most Sportsmanlike Player last season.
