U of L and Lethbridge College Weekend Sports Preview: January 24-26, 2020

LETHBRIDGE, AB – As the month nears its end, here’s a look at the action from Lethbridge College and the University of Lethbridge’s teams this weekend.

LETHBRIDGE COLLEGE KODIAKS

The Kodiaks men’s basketball club currently sits in first place of the ACAC south division, with an impressive record of 13-0. They’ll look to extend their streak when they face Red Deer College tonight (Jan. 24) at 8:00 p.m. in Lethbridge. Tomorrow, it’s a rematch at 3:00 p.m.

The women’s team is in second place in the ACAC south division, holding a record of 8-5. They’re currently on a two-game win streak. The Kodiaks host Red Deer College tonight (Jan. 24) at 6:30 p.m. and tomorrow at 1:00 p.m.

The men and women’s indoor track teams compete in the first Grand Prix of the year in Edmonton tomorrow, January 25.

Both the men and women’s teams have this weekend off. They’re both back on the court Thursday, January 30 as they host Ambrose University.

U OF L PRONGHORNS

It’s been a tough stretch for the men’s hockey team – currently on a six-game losing streak. They host Mount Royal University tonight (Jan. 24) at 7:00 p.m. before a meeting in Calgary tomorrow at 6:00 p.m. The men’s team sits in last place in the Canada West standings with a record of 5-16-1.

The women’s team is in seventh place with a record of 6-12-1-3. They visit Mount Royal tonight at 7:00 p.m. before hosting tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m.

Both the men and women’s basketball teams have this weekend off, back at it Friday, January 31 against MacEwan University in Edmonton.
