Students encouraged to apply for Education Minister’s Youth Council
LETHBRIDGE, AB – 40 youths from across Alberta will be able to speak directly with the province’s Minister of Education and advise her on policy decisions.
Applications are now being accepted for the Youth Council, which sees council members serve a 10-month term starting in September 2020 and ending in June 2021.
They will meet with Minister Adriana LaGrange three times during the school year.
“I am lucky to have approximately 720,000 of the brightest minds in the country as my bosses. Student voice is invaluable to me,” says LaGrange. “The current youth council has done amazing work so far and I always look forward to each meeting. I can’t wait to continue engaging with students who want to be a part of next year’s council.”
