Skating legend Kurt Browning takes to the ice with local figure skating hopefuls
LETHBRIDGE — He wasn’t here to impress – but, how could he not!
Kurt Browning is a figure skating legend, known for his affable personality and his skills on the ice. He is in Lethbridge to conduct skating clinics with members of the local figure skating club. On Friday, he was at Nicholas Sheran arena and was expected at the Civic Centre on Saturday.
He certainly has the background. Browning is both a four time Canadian figure skating Champion and a World Men’s Champion.
He also holds three Canadian Professional Championships and three World Professional Championships. At the 1988 World Championships, he landed the first ratified quadruple toe-loop jump.
