Several people arrested at north Lethbridge homes for drug-related complaints

Feb 21, 2020 | 1:20 PM

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge Police Service’s (LPS) Crime Suppression Team arrested at least five people from two homes on the 1800 block of 1 Ave North Friday afternoon.

Sgt. Rod Pastoor told LNN that there has been plenty of foot traffic to these homes “in regards to the payment and so forth for drugs.”

Police have been aware of these issues for a while now and have received numerous complaints from neighbours.

At the time LNN arrived on the scene, we had seen five people being loaded into police vehicles.

Although Pastoor could not give an exact number for the arrests at this point, he said there was probably more than that.

He added that they are working with the Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods (SCAN) unit to potentially shut these properties down.

At the time of publication, charges have not been sworn in for any of the suspects.
