LETHBRIDGE, AB- Two former Hurricanes have been inducted into the Wall of Honour.

Shane Peacock and Byron Ritchie are the two newest inductees to the wall, and the latest to be inducted since 2015.

Peacock played five seasons with the Canes in 1989 to 94′ before the Edmonton product was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1991 in the NHL Draft and also finished his Hurricane career as the all-time leader in games played and assists.

Ritchie also spent five years from 1994 to 1997 as a Hurricane and was drafted into the 1995 NHL Draft after being named MVP in the 94-95 and 96-97 seasons.

Peacock still thinks about his time as a Hurricane.

“I still say my best years were in Lethbridge and I absolutely loved the place; it was great to me and to have this honour was a great surprise and I’m absolutely honoured to be inducted and I’m really excited.”

Ritchie gave a look at how his life was changed by the Canes’ organization.

“It’s a great honour and it’s something Ill look back on one day and it’s been a long time since I’ve played in Lethbridge, but the memories and friendships are still there.”

Both Peacock and Ritchie still reminisce on their playing days.
