Mar 4, 2020 | 1:21 PM

CROWSNEST PASS, AB – Gordon Lundy has officially handed in his notice.

At their council meeting on Tuesday, March 3, he informed council of his intention to resign from the local government effective February 28, 2020.

A notice posted by the municipality says he is leaving due to personal reasons, although it was not explained what those reasons are.

“Municipal Administration and Council recognize Mr. Lundy for his valuable contributions to the Crowsnest Pass since his election to Council in October 2017 and wish him all the best.”

A by-election will be held no later than June 27, 2020, to fill his seat on council.

Administration is working on compiling information on the logistics of a by-election in hopes of setting a date.
