EDMONTON, AB. — Alberta Agriculture says the 2020 update to its “Blue Book” is now available.

It includes information on newly registered pesticide products including herbicides, insecticides, seed treatments and foliar fungicides.

This edition includes some significant changes in some products, crops covered and usage instructions that will give producers more options.

It recommends that pesticide products be selected based on chemical group and active ingredient.

Harry Brook, co-editor of the Blue Book, says the publication also includes a table that lists herbicides by their mode of action.

You can get the Crop Protection 2020 (the “Blue Book”) and order online at https://www.alberta.ca/crop-protection-manual.aspx#toc-0
