Ranchland Hockey League, Senior AA hockey provincials cancelled
LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Lightning are one of the many teams that won’t be playing to help prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.
Following direction from Hockey Canada, the Lightning have announced that all remaining Ranchland Hockey League (RHL) games have been cancelled.
Lethbridge was set to compete for the crown against the Nanton Palominos.
Additionally, the team says the 2020 Hockey Alberta Provincial Senior AA tournament, which Lethbridge was set to host, is cancelled. The event was set to be attended by six league championship clubs from across the province. Over 180 players and coaches would have taken part in the four-day tournament.
