Expiry dates for Alberta drivers’ licenses, vehicle registrations extended until May 15
EDMONTON, AB – In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the province has made some changes to the renewal process of drivers’ licenses, vehicle registrations and other permits and certificates.
Albertans who have birthdays between March 16 and May 15 and whose cards expire this year now have until May 15, 2020 to renew their drivers’ licenses.
Licenses expire on the holder’s birthday in the year noted on their card.
When it comes to vehicle registration, those expire on an assigned month based on the registrant’s surname or a company name.
