TABER, AB – The Town of Taber continues its fight against COVID-19.

Its latest measure is to close all playgrounds within Taber. Closures will be in place until further notice to help limit the spread of the novel coronavirus.

The Town of Taber has enacted its Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) in response to the pandemic. This will help properly circulate information and coordinate efforts if required.

Public access has also been restricted at the Administration Office. Staff continue to work however and are available by phone or by email.

Residents are being asked to pay their bills online, access their utility bills online and submit service requests online instead of going to the office in person.

There is also a safe and secure drop box outside of the Administration Building front doors where residents can drop off documents and/or payments. Staff will issue receipts by mail.

If a resident has no other options and must attend in person, they’re asked to call 403-223-5500 Ext. 0 to make an appointment with staff.

The Town of Taber, following recommendations by the provincial government and health officials, have cancelled or postponed numerous events and closed certain facilities, such as parks in the town.
