Mar 26, 2020 | 5:54 PM

CROWSNEST PASS, AB – RCMP in the Crowsnest Pass say one person has died following a two-vehicle collision just north of Lundbreck.

They attended to the collision early Thursday afternoon on Highway 22 and Township Road 80.

“Preliminary investigation has revealed a car and SUV were heading northbound on Highway 22,” reads a media release from Crowsnest Pass RCMP. “Both vehicles lost control and collided after going into a ditch.”

A man from Calgary who was driving the car, 27, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A man and a woman in the SUV suffered minor injuries and were released at the scene.

Slushy road conditions are believed to be a factor.

Crowsnest Pass RCMP and an RCMP Collision Analyst continue to investigate.

Traffic in the north and southbound lanes are still down to one lane. This is expected to continue for several hours.

RCMP says they will not be releasing the name of the deceased.
