Following clinical assessment, symptomatic inmates were tested for COVID-19. The results were negative. Testing for the coronavirus will be on-going, as necessary, and when recommended by public health authorities.

As part of Correctional Service Canada protocols, inmates with symptoms are isolated from the general inmate population.

To prevent the spread of the virus, CSC continues to suspend visits to inmates at its institutions, all temporary absences unless medically necessary, work releases for offenders, all inter-regional and international transfers of inmates.
