LETHBRIDGE, AB –Cell phone users may notice an issue to their service this morning.

Telus Mobility says they’re experiencing a network outage that’s affecting wireless status in parts of Western Canada.

Alberta Emergency Alert (AEA) noted that the public could encounter some difficulty in contacting 911 emergency services during the outage.

However, it was stated that landline telephone service is not impacted. AEA suggests using a landline to dial 911 if emergency services are needed until the outage is repaired.

It’s also been reported that Bell and Rogers are experiencing over-load issues on their mobility service and network internet systems in eastern Canada.
