City offering social service supports in light of COVID-19 pandemic
LETHBRIDGE, AB – The City of Lethbridge is working hard to help the community during the global COVID-19 pandemic.
The city says staff has been working with local partners to identify areas of need for the community during the health crisis. About 16 subcommittees have been created to address and support residents during the tough times.
One subcommittee has focused on activity-based resources for youth and families. They’ve been compiling a list of healthy and active activities to share with the community.
The group is led by Lethbridge Family Services Immigrant Services Department Manager, Kristina Larkin. It includes staff from the Lethbridge Early Years Coalition, Boys & Girls Club of Lethbridge and the Sweetgrass Youth Alliance.
