Two people suffered smoke inhalation in West Lethbridge garage fire

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services was called to a home in West Lethbridge around 7:30 pm on Tuesday.

Chief Fire Marshall Heath Wright says there was a fire in a garage on the 100 block of Pacific Landing West in the Gary Station neighbourhood.

13 firefighters from three stations responded and were on scene for around two hours.

They are still in the early stages of the investigation, but Wright believes the fire was accidental and was likely caused by unattended smoking materials.

Two people in the home suffered smoke inhalation. One of the victims had minor smoke injuries.
