96 new COVID-19 cases in Alberta, including two in South Health Zone
LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Government of Alberta has provided its latest update on the COVID-19 pandemic in the province.
Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Deena Hinshaw says 96 new cases were confirmed Thursday, bringing the total now to 968.
As Premier Jason Kenney stated Wednesday, Alberta’s provincial testing facilities are now back up to full capacity, so officials are able to tackle a backlog of tests.
Two new deaths have been reported in the province as a result of COVID-19. This includes a man in his 90’s in the Calgary Health Zone and a man in his 80’s in the North Health Zone.
